The 7th CLASSIC CARS CHALLENGE CHINA(4C), which lasted for a week and covered 1,700km between Beijing and Shanghai, arrived in Shanghai on 19th October. The organising committee organised a grand prize-giving ceremony at the Shanghai Automobile Museum Square, and the one-week comprehensive activity of world-class vintage cars came to a successful conclusion.
The CLASSIC CARS CHALLENGE CHINA (4C) is jointly founded by the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens(FIVA) and the Classic Vehicle Union Of China (CVUC). Jointly organised by the FIVA and,the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and the Classic Vehicle Union of China (CVUC), the event was founded in 2011. It is the first and only world-class old-fashioned car high-end event held in China that has landed on the global official calendar of FIVA for seven consecutive times, and after seven years of cultivation, it has become the world's largest, longest-distance, and highest-level automotive fashion comprehensive event brand in the East, as recognised by the industry at present.
The 7th CLASSIC CARS CHALLENGE CHINA (4C) fleet consisted of nearly fifty oldsmobiles from 13 countries, which assembled in Beijing on 9th October, and held the "World Collection Oldsmobile Exhibition", "World Oldsmobile Music Season" and "World Oldsmobile Tour China" from 10th to 11th October in Beijing Cool Car Town. On 12 October, a grand launching ceremony was also held in Cool Car Town. The caravan then travelled all the way south through Tianjin, Weifang Qingzhou, Lianyungang, Nanjing, Wuxi and finally arrived in Shanghai. On the way, the fleet came into close contact with CITIC Guoan First City, Jiulongyu Scenic Area, Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area, Wuxi South Changjie, and Wuxi Dangkou Ancient Town, and organised colourful activities on the way.
The 7th CLASSIC CARS CHALLENGE CHINA (4C) was honourably co-organised by Beijing Cool Car Town, Beijing Huanzhi Camping Investment Management Co. Ltd, Shandong Jiulongyu Culture Communication Co., Ltd, Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area Management Office, Xiangdong International Garden Hotel, Icona (Shanghai) Industrial Design Co. Nine Garage became the exclusive technical support for the event, and Wine Dragon Warehouse E-commerce Company became the official designated wine supplier. Oriental International Garden Hotel became the official hotel of the event. BMW became the official VIP car of the event. Guanzhi Automobile became the working car and media car of the event. Shandong Jiulongyu Scenic Spot, Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain Scenic Spot and CITIC Guoan First City became the official designated tourist attractions.
At 14:00 pm on the 19th, all the participating vehicles passed through the closing doors in order and arrived at the square of Shanghai Automobile Museum in the waving of black and white stripes, and the faces of every participant interpreted the joy of the harvesters. When the beautiful garland was worn around their necks, everyone was overjoyed and excited.
At the event, more than 200 Chinese and foreign celebrities and guests from all walks of life, headed by German Viscount Freiherr von GEMMINGEN-Hornberg Hansjörg Eberhard, Malaysian Dato' SIA HOK KIANG, and Edgar Meyer, President of the German Club Borsa Bentz, took part in the event. 14 participating vehicles, 12 co-operating units and 21 participants were awarded various prizes by the organising committee.
Passion leads to glory, the curtain of the 7th CLASSIC CARS CHALLENGE CHINA (4C) has come down, but the vintage car craze that swept across China will permeate the country forever, and this magnificent cultural flower will bloom in the ancient land of China in 2018, so let's keep our fingers crossed and look forward to it.
