YANGTZE RIVER DELTA OPEN OF INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC CARS Starts in Shanghai

The 2019 YANGTZE RIVER DELTA OPEN OF INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC CARS, organised by the FIVA and the CAAM, held its launching ceremony in Fengxian, Shanghai on the 20th.

In the coming week, more than 50 classic participating vehicles from 18 countries and regions will start from Shanghai Fengxian, circumnavigate the core hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, pass through Wuxi, Dongtai and Changzhou in Jiangsu, Ningguo in Anhui and Anji in Zhejiang, and finally arrive at Shanghai Fengxian on 26th September to complete the race.

As a supporting activity of this year's Shanghai Tourism Festival, the race mainly selects provincial highways, national highways and some high-speed road sections, the participating vehicles need to have a driver and a navigator, and the use of GPS and other electronic navigation equipment is prohibited during the race. At the same time, the race is divided into a time-giving section, a shortcut control and a time trial section. The organising committee will count the daily results, calculate the points of the vehicles and announce the previous day's results and rankings before the departure on the next day. Eventually, when all the vehicles arrive in Fengxian, Shanghai, the final results will be summarised and the ranking of the vehicles will be announced in the closing ceremony.

It is learnt that the event will also hold "International Classic Cars Exhibition", "Shanghai Automotive Industry Retrospective", "Classic Cars Elegance Contest" and "Classic Cars Meet Shanghai". A number of sub-events will be held, such as the "Beauty of the Orient in Classic Cars" make-up show, etc. During the same period of time, the "Take a Shot, Taste the Freshness of the Yangtze River Delta" photography competition will also be held, which will be held to freeze the 2019 YANGTZE RIVER DELTA OPEN OF INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC CARS with photography.
