FIVA Culture Award to AISA in Turin

In an event attended by a few qualified participants, held at the esteemed MAUTO museum, the Italian Association for Automobile History (Associazione Italiana per la Storia dell’Automobile, AISA) was honoured with a significant award in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the preservation and promotion of Italy’s rich automotive heritage.

Present at the event were members of the AISA board, Mr. Davide Lorenzone–MAUTO  and Mr. Alberto Scuro, President of ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano). The highlight of the event came when Nataša G. Jerina, representing the FIVA Culture Commission, presented the award to ing. Lorenzo Boscarelli, acknowledging AISA’s exceptional dedication to in-depth historical research and the meticulous planning of conferences.

The award citation emphasized the organization’s impressive collection of publications, available online, which showcase a diverse range of data and presentations on the history of vehicles. These resources have become invaluable references for enthusiasts and scholars alike, providing insight into Italy’s automotive legacy.

Founded in 1987, AISA has been at the forefront of preserving Italy’s automotive history, organizing numerous events and producing over 130 monographs covering a wide array of topics. From technical aspects to sporting events, from analysis of projects to the recounting of illustrious personalities’ stories, AISA’s work reflects a deep commitment to understanding and celebrating the intersection of motorization with society, literature, and art.
