China International Classic Car Industry Outlook Conference Held in Hainan
On April 14th 2024, the China International Classic Car Industry Outlook Conference was successfully held in Haikou, Hainan. This conference is a supporting event of the China International Consumer Products Expo. It aims to fully implement the document No. 222 issued by the Ministry of Commerce and nine other ministries and commissions, solidly promote the high-quality development of China's traditional classic car industry, promote consumption and develop the economy.
Mr.Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, Mr.Tiddo Bresters, President of FIVA, Mr.Xu Xingfeng, Director of the Consumer Promotion Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Mr.Huang Yuefeng, Deputy Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Mr.Deng Bo, Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Development Department of the Ministry of Commerce, Mr.Zhang Bin, Director of the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province, Mr.Liu Rutao, Deputy Director of the Economic Development Bureau of Hainan Province, Mr.Zong Gui'an, Chief Representative of FIVA China, Mr.Wang Du, Vice President of China Automobile Circulation Association, Ms.Yang Chun, Deputy Director of the Sanya Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Ms.Li Jie, Deputy Director of the Sanya Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau and other relevant leaders and industry representatives attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed how to formulate the standards for identifying traditional classic cars in China, improve the domestic management system, promote the reform of import policies, promote the bonded exhibition and trusteeship services of traditional classic cars, and promote the traditional classic car events, tourism, and tour exhibitions.
At the meeting, Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, and Tiddo Bresters, President of FIVA, delivered speeches and expressed their views on issues such as improving technical standards, formulating management regulations, carrying out international cooperation, and promoting international integration in the field of classic cars.
At the meeting, officially entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce, the China Automobile Dealers Association and FIVA China signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation. In the future, under the guidance and support of the Ministry of Commerce, both parties will carry out practical cooperation in the field of Chinese automobile culture, especially in the traditional classic car field, and play a leading and promoting role.
Wang Du, Vice President of China Automobile Dealers Association, Mr.Zong Gui'an, Chief Representative of FIVA China, as well as leaders of relevant government agencies and industry representatives also expressed their opinions from various perspectives during the meeting.
Vice Minister Sheng Qiuping and President of FIVA Tiddo Bresters, on behalf of the Ministry of Commerce and the FIVA, respectively, made joint proposals to the industry and the whole society in their speeches, hoping that the global industry and all sectors of society will work together and cooperate with China and other countries to promote the rapid formation and high-quality development of the classic car industry in China through practical actions.
Before the meeting, Vice Minister Sheng Qiuping cordially met with Tiddo Bresters, who was invited to China to participate in the Consumer Products Expo. This was the second meeting between the two sides in four months. During the meeting, the two sides reached a broad consensus on deepening cooperation in automotive culture, especially in the field of traditional classic cars. They also formed a cooperation intention in terms of information exchange, standard mutual reference, technical mutual assistance, and resource sharing. Both sides promised to strengthen their ties and cooperate sincerely to jointly promote the layout and industry pilot of China's traditional classic car industry, and work together to create conditions and contribute to the rapid development of China's traditional classic car industry.
After the meeting, Departure Ceremony of Hainan Pride Tour of International Collection Cars was held, with relevant leaders, agency heads, and guests participating in the event. Mr Tiddo personally launched the event. The caravan will start from Haikou and travel through Wenchang, Qionghai Boao,Wanning, Lingshui, and finally arrive in Sanya.
