Classic Cars Challenge China included in FIVA WMHY programme under the UNESCO Patronage

6th Classic Cars Challenge China (4C) has been approved by the General Committee of FIVA to be included in the enlarged WMHY program.

On February 26th 2016, UNESCO granted its Patronage to FIVAs World Motoring Heritage Year programme (WMHY) developed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our association.

On March 11th 2016, a meeting was held in Paris between FIVA and UNESCOs Director of Public Information, in order to clarify what and how FIVA and its members could communicate within the framework of this Patronage. Patrick Rollet, President, and Gautam Sen, Vice President - External Relations, represented FIVA at this meeting.

The UNESCO Patronage is specifically granted to WMHY, meaning that reference to it can be made any time a communication, by FIVA or any of its member, is related to the WMHY programme.

The patronage can also be mentioned during any of the actions included in the programme. For instance, it can be expressed at the 2016 FIVA Forum (Chantilly) and Symposiums (Torino, Paris), or at events where a Best Preserved Award is handed over, on the FIVA book prepared for our associations 50th Anniversary, etc. Communication can include the UNESCO logo, made up of the FIVA WMHY logo and of the UNESCO Patronage logo.

Exciting but not a surprise, on May 24, the 6th Classic Cars Challenge China (4C) has been approved by the General Committee of FIVA to be included in the enlarged WMHY program as one of Type 2.

In this October, the 6th Classic Cars Challenge China(4C) will continue to take FIVA s mission of protecting, preserving and promoting historic vehicles and contribute to it.
